Charles Frederick "Karch" Kiraly (/ ˈ k ɑːr tʃ k ɪ ˈ r aɪ /) (born November 3, 1960) is an American volleyball player, coach and broadcast announcer. In the 1980s he was a central part of the U.S National Team that won gold medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games .

Volleyball legend Karch Kiraly has served as head coach of the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team since September 2012. In his time at the helm, Kiraly has coached the program to great success. He’s tallied a 238-48 record from his start in 2013, and he’s helped the team claim several big victories and medals.
Kiraly experienced unmatched success in the AVP, winning 16 Opens in 1992, 18 Opens in 1993, 17 Opens in 1994 and 12 Opens in 1995 and 11 Opens in 1996. Perhaps his most outstanding beach volleyball accomplishment was a gold medal at the inaugural beach competition at the 1996 Olympic Games.
